To seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha, Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated by the students of Grade 2 and 3 at Presidium school in a virtual assembly. The students were explained the significance of the festival and the importance of eco-friendly ways of celebrating the festival. The students made banners giving a message to save aquatic life and stop water pollution by banning the use of plaster of Paris for the idol and its immersion in lakes and ponds. They were also shown a movie on “Lord Ganesha.” The festival brought devotion, creativity, understanding, and learning. Students promised their teachers that like Lord Ganesha, they too would abide by the elders’ wisdom and be devoted towards their parents.
