Presidium gave an opportunity to students to explore Mother Earth. As we know, everything in the world around us is built upon the Earth, grows on the Earth, or depends on the environment of the Earth in some way. Keeping this in view, Presidians of Grade-6 carried out an activity on the Motions of the Earth. The activity was planned and executed to arouse students' curiosity about Day and Night and seasons. They explained the two motions of the Earth, the axis of the Earth, the Orbital Plane, Circle of Illumination, Seasons, Equinox, Summer & Winter Solstice. They understood that Earth’s tilt and revolution around the sun cause the seasons and also understood that Earth rotates on its axis day and night. They presented these Motions of the Earth by using their artistic skills, and made colourful posters.
