Various cultural activities, including poems, skits, songs, and dances, enriched students' understanding of his legacy. The event paid tribute to the man who secured our freedom with non-violent principles.

Tiger is our national animal, the pride of our nation. International Tiger Day or World Tiger Day is sometimes referred to as Global Tiger Day and is an annual event organized to raise awareness about the importance of tiger conservation. To commemorate the ‘International Tiger Day’ and to promote awareness, conservation, and expansion of wild tiger habitats, Presidians presented a special assembly, wherein they deliberated upon the significance of this majestic animal in maintaining the ecological balance. They shared their thoughts by presenting speeches and raised slogans on the issue to bring it to the fore.

KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS: SALUTING WAR HEROES FOR THEIR VALOR!

To commemorate the martyrdom of Kargil warriors, we, at Presidium, celebrated Kargil Diwas with great pride, love, respect, and devotion towards our Country. The teachers sensitized the students by sharing the untold stories of our soldiers who fought for the Country in Kargil in 1971. Speeches were also given to throw light on the importance of peace in our lives and to pay homage to the soldiers who left for the heavenly abode during the war. A heart-touching skit showing the unconditional love of soldiers for the nation was performed by our proud patriots. It was followed by a dance performance by children in grade 3. The students expressed their pride in belonging to such a wonderful nation and thanked the armed forces for safeguarding it against all odds.

STUDENTS STUDY THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF PLANTS

Flowers are the reproductive part of a plant. They are not only involved in reproduction but are also a source of food for other living organisms. Students of Grade 6 learned about Parts of a flower in the Chapter - ‘Getting to Know Plants.’ They presented beautiful charts wherein they labeled all the vegetative and reproductive parts and explained about the function of each part. The purpose of the activity was to make them aware about the inner parts of a flower and that the structure of a flower is not always the same.

STUDENTS EXPLORE THE PROPERTIES OF WATER

Students of Grade 2 showcased the TBL theme-Water wherein they studied about the importance of water, sources of water, different types of containers used to store it, the cause and effects of dirty water, and ways to save it. They explored different properties of water like its ability to Mix and Don't mix things', then they explored the 'Taste and Smell' of water by adding things like bitter gourd juice, Glucon D, Lemon, etc in water. They performed simple experiments to explore the 'Shape and Sink / Float' capability of water. It was indeed a fun-filled yet enriching experience for the children.

Nelson Mandela International Day is an annual international day in honour of Nelson Mandela, celebrated each year on 18 July. Mandela stood for the fundamental rights of all human beings, regardless of gender, nationality, or race. Students paid tribute to the great leader in the form of Poems, Quotes, Free Nelson Mandela Song, and Freedom Dance. The life of Nelson Mandela was an example of the fact that everyone has the ability and the responsibility to change the world for the better! Mandela Day is an occasion for all to take action and inspire change.

STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT THE HISTORY OF TELEPHONES

To know more about the evolution of the telephone an academic activity was planned in Grade 3 to learn more about the inventions of the telephone and how it made our life easy. The students had role play where students enacted being a doctor, patient, shop manager, customer etc. They showcased their beautiful project that had different kinds of telephones invented over the years. The students enjoyed the activity with great zeal and enthusiasm. The best part was the role play that made them extremely excited to depict a character by speaking on the self created phones.

STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT THE SHELTER OF ANIMALS

Like humans, all the animals need shelter to protect them and need to save their lives from natural calamities, such as landslides, forest fires, and so on. Home is a place where we live safely. There is no other better place in the world, than being in the comfort of our homes. Under the theme "Home" in TBL , our Presidians of Grade 1 took the opportunity to observe, explore and talk about shelter of animals. Every student actively participated in this interactive board activity and It was a delightful experience for them.

WELCOMING THE LEADERS FOR ANOTHER YEAR OF LEARNING & FUN!

School bells are ringing loud and clear;
Vacation is over, School Time is here.
  
The silence in the Presidium campus was broken with the chirping of happy students as the school gates opened after the holidays. They were thrilled, excited, and raring to go! The students had come back fresh, energized, well-rested, and full of exciting stories of their vacation. Friends hugged each other and students greeted teachers with sunny smiles and warm wishes. An array of 'Welcome Back to School’ activities added more fun to the day and motivated students for another happy, chirpy, and peppy term ahead. Students enjoyed fun-filled activities like Ring the hand tower and crafty Octopus, Parachute Activity, Tall Thomas and The students felt special and this was reflected through their giggles, laughter, and claps. Everyone enjoyed their day at school and walked back to their homes with bright faces, eager to witness what else the session held for them.

STUDENTS EXPAND THEIR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT PARTS OF PLANTS

Plants are one of many wonderful elements of nature, Plants provide us with the oxygen that we breathe so they are vitally important.  Students of Grade 4 expanded their knowledge about the theme of Plants as they engaged in various explorative activities related to parts of a plant. They watched the capillary action of the stem as water travels from roots to different parts through stems. They studied types of roots and leaf venation through real specimens and they also understood the internal structure of a flower. To culminate their understanding of different parts of a plant, they made presentations on leaf venation, parts of a stem, types of roots, structure of a flower, and fruits. Students also made diagrammatic representations of plants using waste material.
