Mathematical skills are crucial for a wide array of analytical, technological, scientific, economic and soft skill applications. With an aim to train students to become adept users of mathematics and to appreciate its usefulness is a paramount for the future, Presidium Pitampura recently organised a ‘Mathematics Day’. Students participated in numerous activities, absorbing information and enjoying the stimulating exercise of the mind. Students made 3D shapes using Jodo straws and connectors. They played games like Sudoku, snakes and ladders and math relay race. Students used fractions, percentage, decimal numbers and their operations in these innovative games. Team work, responsibility, visualization, creativity, imagination and estimation were the key skills practiced by students.
