MAHASHIVRATRI: PRESIDIANS PRAY FOR A PEACEFUL & PROSPEROUS FUTURE
Maha Shivratri or Great Night of Shiva is a festival celebrated in reverence of Lord Shiva. The students of Presidium Pitampura presented a special assembly on Maha Shivaratri. The assembly began with the chanting of sacred mantra "Om Trayambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim pustivardham, Urwarukmivbandhanaan Mrityormuksheey mamritaat". Students enlightened everyone on the significance of the festival by presenting a few relevant facts. The powers and the role of Lord Shiva in the natural cycle were highlighted through the divine tandav and it added a charm to the assembly. The young Presidians enacted the wedding day of Parvati Mata and Lord Shiva and enlightened everyone with their characteristics and personality traits. Through this enactment they also gave a message which helped us to lead a passionate and peaceful life.
SPECTACULAR PERFORMANCES AT THE PRESIDIUM FUTURE FEST 2019!
The two day long gala event, Future Fest 2019, held at Siri Fort Auditorium on 16th & 17th February saw some of the most entertaining and spectacular performances by our young leaders of tomorrow. It was a celebration of the genius, skill, ideas, passion, craft and talents of our young Presidians. The event began with a soulful rendition of Ganesh Vandana followed by performances on various social issues and a tribute to our brave soldiers. The enthusiasm and energy of the young performers could be felt in the auditorium as the audience cheered for the Presidians.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THE BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SAROJINI NAIDU
On the occasion of the birthday of Sarojini Naidu children of grade 2 observed The National Women‘s Day at Presidium Pitampura. Sarojini Naidu was a prolific writer, a poet and one of the greatest woman freedom fighters. The students remembered this great lady by talking about her achievements in the field of poetry and her tremendous contributions to India during the freedom struggle. She was given the title of The Nightingale of India or Bharat Kokila on the account of beautiful and soul stirring poetry and words given , which were sung by our little Prideens in English and Hindi. She was truly remembered as an epitome of power, a source of inspiration and a woman of substance.
PRESIDIANS LEARN ABOUT GEOMETRY WITH ‘FUN WITH SHAPES’ ACTIVITY
‘Spatial sense is considered a core area of mathematical study. It includes the ability to mentally visualize objects and to turn things around in your mind'. It was a day of Fun with Shapes at Presidium Pitampura. Various activities were organized to encourage participation and to promote creative skills among students. Different shapes were drawn on the floor in the corridor and students were asked to walk on the drawn shapes. It was fun-filled activity that helped children identifying and exploring sides and corners of the shapes. The children were given Jodo Gyan kits to create different shapes to create different shapes like pentagon, 3D shapes like cube and identify their sides and corners. These activities ignited a new spark of creativity and boosted their confidence. Students learnt properties of various shapes by doing these activities. An educational activity that aimed at helping Presidians learn basic properties of simple and geometrical figures were fruitful and a huge success.
PRESDIANS SHOWCASE THEIR LOVE & RESPECT FOR DIVERSE LANGUAGES
Presidium Pitampura held a special assembly to express its love for different languages used by Indians throughout the country. The day began with some interesting facts about English language by the students of grade 5, followed by funny riddles asked in English. A beautiful poem on the topic ‘Parts of speech’ helped everyone to acquire knowledge on the same. We can't forget ‘Rahim and Kabir ke dohe' when it comes to our own Hindi. These dohas helped in spreading the valuable message of our eminent kavis. The sweetness of Urdu language won our hearts with Shayari. We can't have anything complete without Punjabi music and folk boliyan. The entire audience swirled with the sweetness of punjabi boliyan. A moral story was enacted by the students of grade 4 highlighting the value of time. Dance is the hidden language of the soul of the body. Our foreign language enthusiasts enthralled us with a beautiful dance performance on French and Spanish songs. Towards the end, the students were thanked for their wonderful performances in six different languages.
हिंदी गतिविधि द्वारा प्रेसीडीअंस ने सीखे व्याकरण के नए पाठ!

हम सबका कर्तव्य है की हम हिंदी को राष्ट्रभाषा के पद पर आसीन करने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास करें। हिंदी व्याकरण, हिंदी भाषा को शुद्ध रूप में लिखने और बोलने संबंधी नियमों का बोध करानेवाला शास्त्र है। यह हिंदी भाषा के अध्ययन का महत्त्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है। हिन्दी के महत्व को नज़र रखते हुए तथा छात्रों में उत्सुकता बढ़ाने के लिए प्रिसीडियम पीतमपुरा की कक्षा दो के छात्रों ने व्याकरण चकरी खेल खेला। बच्चे दी हुई, व्याकरण की अवधारणाओं की समझ पिछले चरण में विकसित कर चुके थे। इस गतिविधि के द्वारा पुनः लिंग बदलो, एक-अनेक, विलोम शब्दों, द्वित्व व्यंजन, तुकांत शब्दों, और समानार्थी शब्दों की समझ को सुदृढ़ करवाया गया। इस गतिविधि के साथ एक और गतिविधि करवाई गई जिसमे बच्चों ने अक्षरों का खेल पीटरा (फ़्लैश कार्ड) की मदद से मात्राओं, स्वरों और व्यंजनों को जोड़कर वाक्य बनाए। इस गतिविधि के माध्यम से शब्दों का क्रम एवं उनके प्रयोग को सुदृढ़ करवाया गया। सभी छात्रों ने बढ़चढ़कर गतिविधियों का आनंद लिया।
VISIT TO SPARSH : PRESIDIANS DISCOVER HUMILITY & COMPASSION
Presidium has always worked towards creating responsible global citizens by imparting values of humility and compassion. With these thoughts in mind, we organised a visit to the Sparsh special school for our young leaders of tomorrow. Students observed the day to day activities of the special children and learned about hard work and dedication. It was a memorable day for the students as they were infused with optimism, love and empathy for their new friends!
PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THEIR PROUD PATRIOTIC SIDE ON REPUBLIC DAY
To celebrate the occasion of Republic Day, a special ceremony was organised wherein we witnessed great zeal and enthusiasm among the students as they brought out their patriotic side. Students were dressed in tricolor reminiscing the gallant deeds of the freedom fighters. The proceedings of the day commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by honorable Chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta, Shri Duggal and Shri Wadhwa. Ma’am urged students to abide by the duties. The program showcasing the rich and varied heritage of the great Indian sub-continent, paying tribute to the brave soldiers and portrayal of the diversity in India ‘From Kashmir to Kanyakumari’. An extravagant Nukkad natak depicting the Right to education and an amalgamated recitation of corruption of constitution was an eye opener to all.
PRESIDIANS PAY TRIBUTE TO OUR SOLDIERS ON NATIONAL ARMY DAY
Indian soldiers are role models for every Indian. To salute the Indian Army on the National Army Day students of Presidium Pitampura dedicated the school assembly to pay tribute to these indomitable guardians of our frontiers. The assembly was an amalgamation of dance, song and enactment. It displayed the life of a soldier, from home to the battle ground. The celebration commenced with paying homage to soldiers 'Tribute to Defense Heroes'. It was a spin thrilling performance by the students. Students felt proud to have the opportunity to show their gratitude to the Indian Army - men who, willingly and selflessly, are always ready to sacrifice their lives for the country and serve us with a smile
PRESIDIANS LEARN NEW MATHEMATICAL CONCEPTS WITH INNOVATIVE GAMES
Mathematical skills are crucial for a wide array of analytical, technological, scientific, economic and soft skill applications. With an aim to train students to become adept users of mathematics and to appreciate its usefulness is a paramount for the future, Presidium Pitampura recently organised a ‘Mathematics Day’. Students participated in numerous activities, absorbing information and enjoying the stimulating exercise of the mind. Students made 3D shapes using Jodo straws and connectors. They played games like Sudoku, snakes and ladders and math relay race. Students used fractions, percentage, decimal numbers and their operations in these innovative games. Team work, responsibility, visualization, creativity, imagination and estimation were the key skills practiced by students.
